Terms of Use

1. Use of the service

The Application provides golf-related features such as distance calculation, shot tracking, and club recommendations.

The Application may include free and paid (Pro) features. Some features require an account, location access, and/or an active subscription.

You must comply with applicable laws, golf course rules, and local regulations when using the Application on or near a course. Do not use the Application in a way that distracts you or others from safe play.

You are solely responsible for how you use the information in the Application.

2. Recommendations and liability

Distance, wind, elevation, and "plays like" values are estimates based on available data, models, and your settings (e.g. handicap, club distances). They may differ from actual conditions on the course.

Weather and wind information is provided via third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate for your exact position.

You are always responsible for club selection, safety, and compliance with local rules. The Application does not replace a playing partner, caddie, or official course information.

We do not guarantee that the recommendations are always accurate or optimal in every situation.

You use the Application at your own risk.

3. Map, location, and course data

Map imagery (including satellite views), course layouts, and related map data are provided by third parties and may not reflect current conditions on the ground. Features such as greens, hazards, paths, or construction may be missing, outdated, or inaccurate.

GPS and device location can be imprecise due to signal, weather, terrain, buildings, or device limitations. Distances and positions shown in the app are approximate.

Saved markers, green positions, and favorites are based on your input and our data sources; we do not guarantee they match the official course setup.

You use map and location features at your own risk and should verify important distances and positions yourself when it matters for play or safety.

4. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• direct or indirect damages
• loss of data
• incorrect decisions based on the Application
• interruptions or technical issues
• inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete map, GPS, weather, or course data
• reliance on distance, wind, or club recommendations during play
• loss of subscription access due to non-payment, cancellation, or platform issues outside our control

Use of the Application is at your own risk.

5. Availability

We strive to keep the Application working properly, but we do not guarantee:

• that it is always available
• that it is free from errors or interruptions

Map tiles, weather data, and subscription verification depend on third-party services and network connectivity. Temporary unavailability does not entitle you to a refund except as provided by Apple's policies.

6. Account

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

• protecting your login credentials
• not misusing the service

You must provide accurate information where requested (e.g. profile details used for recommendations).

You may delete your account in the app; see our Privacy Policy for what data is removed. Account deletion does not cancel App Store subscriptions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in case of misuse or violation of these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Application and all content belong to Caddio.

It is not permitted to:

• copy
• modify
• distribute

without permission.

8. Third-party services

The Application relies on third-party services, including:

• Mapbox — maps and map-related services
• Supabase — authentication and data storage
• Apple — Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases / subscriptions
• Google — Sign in with Google (if you choose that option)
• RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management
• SMHI / Open-Meteo — weather and wind data

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of them may be subject to those terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, data errors, or changes to their services.

9. Subscriptions and payments (Caddio Pro)

Certain features require an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Caddio Pro"), offered through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price shown in the App Store for your plan
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable under Apple's rules. After the trial, you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions) or via the subscription management link in the app
• Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies; we do not process refunds directly
• Deleting your Caddio account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription; you must cancel the subscription separately in your Apple account settings

We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status. We do not store your full payment card details.

Prices, trial length, and available plans are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

10. Changes to the service

We may at any time:

• update the Application
• change features
• discontinue the service

11. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is published at https://www.caddio.se/terms.

Material changes will be reflected in the updated terms and effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Application and cancel any subscription through Apple.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law.

13. Eligibility

The Application is not intended for children under 13. By using the Application, you confirm that you meet this age requirement or have parental consent where required by law.
